Responsibilities:
Position Summary:
The incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse and/or licensed medical practitioner in caring for the clinical patient and providing the best possible individualized nursing care in a timely manner with emphasis on cost containment.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
- One year of experience in a outpatient medical office or physician clinic setting
- Background and knowledge in medical terminology
- Ability to clearly communicate and understand English
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Current BLS required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in a clinical setting
- Associate's degree in a related field
- Medical Assistant certification
- Working knowledge of state-supported programs specific to rural health clinics
- English-Spanish bilingual fluency
