Overview:

Castle Group is a property management company, which provides guidance and oversight for our clients, as it relates to operating their “on-property” food and beverage outlets.

A Restaurant Operations Manager in Castle Group impacts every Guest experience within our restaurant, bar, and banquets. We always deliver an experience that will exceed our Guests' food, beverage, and culinary expectations.
  • This individual will report directly to the General Manager.
  • Work a minimum of 5 rotating shifts during a week, that will vary in arrival and departure times, and will include weekends and holiday work. A minimum expectation of 50 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Consistent maintenance of/and refinement of Steps of Royal Service standards.
  • Develop and Lead the Front of House Staff in execution of successful shift execution.
  • Maintain appropriate staffing levels for sales expectations and seasonal changes.
  • Assure staff have the tools and supplies to do their job.
  • Place weekly alcohol orders (where applicable) food orders, for products necessary to be successful.
  • Maintain goods and labor cost consistent with budget and sales expectations.
  • Performs EOM inventories.
  • Attends daily and weekly food and beverage meetings.
  • Participates in planning, organizing, and controlling cost for events/banquets on property.
  • Assures Cleanliness of all F&B areas (Kitchen/Bar/Dining Rooms/Storerooms/Bathrooms etc.)
  • Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of menu items, and train FOH staff to execute.
  • Works with Executive Chef and GM for the execution and implementation of menu variations.
  • Maintain complete knowledge of local, state, and federal food/alcohol safety standards.
  • Ensure that assigned staff has reported to work; document any late or absent employees.
  • Report to work on-time for his/her scheduled shifts.
  • Coordinate breaks for assigned staff.
  • Assign work and side duties to staff in accordance with departmental procedures.
  • Communicate additions or changes to the assignments as they arise throughout the shift.
  • Conduct pre-shift meeting with staff and review all information pertinent to the day's business. Inspect grooming and attire of staff; rectify any deficiencies.
  • Complete all paperwork and closing duties in accordance with departmental standards.

Education and Experience
  • Continuing education will be offered and administered as needed.
  • 5 years minimum in multi-unit operations.
  • Proficient understanding of cost of goods sold, menu pricing, and financial schedule extension.
  • Experience placing food and beverage orders both in person and online, through major vendors.
Skills and Abilities
  • Fluent in English language both written and spoken.
  • Multiple Point of Sales systems
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Communicate, receive and exchange ideas and information by means of spoken and written language.
  • Experienced in conflict resolution for both guest and team members
  • Able to work under tight deadlines and use time effectively based on key priorities.
  • Intermediate command of computer hardware/software, specifically Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills to help create effective customer-focused relationships with all levels within the organization.

  • May be occasionally required to cover for front desk staff at other communities within a reasonable commuting distance when needed.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends based on project requirements. Ability to respond to emergencies and callouts in a timely manner.
