Staff Accountant - Adecco
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations and ensuring accuracy in monthly closings, account reconciliations, and financial reporting. This position pays $30 - $35/hr.
Position Overview:
- Title: Staff Accountant
- Location: Santa Fe Springs, CA
- Education: Degree in Accounting (required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare Trial Balance, Balance Sheet, and Income Statement
- Maintain and analyze accounting ledgers and General Ledger (GL) accounts
- Manage the monthly closing process within the Navision System
- Oversee the Chart of Accounts in the Navision System
- Prepare and analyze branch financial statements, including variance analysis reports against forecasts
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and analyses for month-end close
- Manage lease accounting for all lease contracts as part of the month-end closing process
- Complete analysis and assist in various accounting projects as needed
- Support cost accounting functions and assist in cost analysis while identifying unusual transactions
- Assist with quarterly reports and year-end audits conducted by external auditors
- Provide responses and guidance to internal teams, external auditors, and tax consultants
- Provide accounting advice and support to team members
- Conduct Bank Reconciliation
- Support and provide backup for the following tasks:
- Fixed Asset & Depreciation Schedule (monthly GL maintenance)
- Monthly updates on Inter-Company Transactions
- Personal and Real Property Tax monitoring
Qualifications:
- Experience in accounting with a strong understanding of financial statements, journal entries, and reconciliations
- Knowledge of Navision or similar ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and ability to analyze financial data
- Solid understanding of cost accounting principles
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with various departments
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Prior experience with lease accounting, fixed assets, or bank reconciliations is a plus
Pay Details: $30.00 to $35.00 per hour
