Human Resources Generalist
Overview:
Imperial Dade, a leading North American distributor, has a HR Generalist role available in Maryland! Join a strong and continuously evolving group, helping to continue to grow our business. This position will work out of our Landover, MD and Jessup, MD facilities.
The HR Generalist is a true HR Business Partner in the aspects of guiding leadership and employees in engagement management, compliance, and training initiatives. Serving as a key point of contact for employees, fostering a positive work environment and ensuring alignment with company policies and procedures.
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Pay rate: $70,000 - $80,000.

Responsibilities:
You will:
- Conduct new hire orientation, manage new hire paperwork, and serve as a trusted advisor for all new hires.
- Work in partnership and in collaboration across the South region on HR initiatives, communications, and programs.
- Partner with Regional Human Resources Leader to resolve complicated employee relation issues
- Provide coaching, counseling, and guidance to management and employees.
- Drive a positive employee focused culture that supports the attainment of the company's goals and promotes employee satisfaction
- Partner with Corporate Talent Acquisition team for both exempt and non-exempt staffing needs.
- Partner with Corporate Payroll, Benefits and Human Resources teams on related issues as needed.
- Comply with all existing federal, state, and local legal and governmental reporting requirements including any related to the EEO, ADA, FMLA, ERISA, DOL, OSHA, Worker Compensation and so forth.
- Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records.
Qualifications:
You have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 2 + years of Human Resources experience, including employee relations.
- Knowledge of employment laws including ADA, FLSA, FMLA.
- Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- SHRM certification a plus.
