Project Manager
Overview:
Join our team as Project Manager and support the Department of Energy (DOE), Office of Environment, Health Safety and Security (EHSS) office by managing a contract providing classification support services.

Work Schedule and Location:On-Site: This full-time on-site position will work Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm at the DOE Germantown, MD office.
Responsibilities:
- Manages contractual efforts in a defined program/task area(s) to ensure responsiveness to job requests as outlined in the PWS.
- Provides resource management for all contractor employees.
- Assesses workload on a weekly basis and re- assigns staff as needed to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner. Ensures
- Frequently interfaces with Federal customer to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensures administrative staff are cross- trained in different administrative duties to provide adequate coverage during peak workloads.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in one of the engineering disciplines or physical sciences.
- Individual must have a minimum of seven (7) years’ experience in project management. This may be a combination of private sector, civil service, or military experience.
- Experience in quality assurance, development and implementation of progress measurement tools, and a detailed knowledge of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, Executive order 13526, and DOE classification regulations and policies are required for this position.
Desired:
- An advanced degree in engineering management or a businessmanagement is highly desirable.
- Familiarity and experiencewith DOE sites and the National Laboratories are also highly desirable.
- It is highly desirable that some or all this experience be specific to nuclear weapons/nuclear material production, nuclear safeguards,
and/or other national security activities.
