The Junior Pricing Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting Piston Automotive's business growth by developing accurate and timely quotes for new business opportunities and modifications to existing contracts. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of the automotive industry.

The Junior Pricing Analyst will collaborate closely with account managers and the sales team to ensure that pricing strategies align with company objectives and customer needs. Additionally, they will be responsible for tracking project milestones, analyzing pricing data, and supporting various sales and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Support reviewing of RFQ details for EC’s from Account Manger to understand what needs to be quoted
  • Support RFQ process internally at Piston, support Sr Pricing Analyst.
  • Collect historical data by tracking actual costs and compare against quoted costs. Identify gaps and develop plans to close the gaps
  • Support the optimization and the refinement of our RFQ and quoting processes and internal sales processes.
  • Analyze and track quote data to identify trends by customer, product commodity, and manufacturing location.
  • Support account manager at customer meetings or customer events as necessary
  • Support account managers by creating reports, tracking matrices to ensure department goals are met
  • Support pricing and PO information updates in MRP system, sign-off and issue purchase orders to supply base.
  • Enter data in customer launch screens as needed.
  • Sales Presentations.
  • Develop and maintain generic customer sales presentations to be customized as required. Expand presentations as necessary, prepare and compile booklets, slides, videos, etc.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of inside sales or cost estimating experience. Preferred automotive industry experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Project, and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently.
  • Ability to motivate and lead others.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical information and data.
  • Experience with mathematical and diagrammatic instructions.
