Medical Receptionist

We are offering a contract for a Medical Receptionist position in Cincinnati, Ohio, United States. This role is pivotal within our healthcare setting, where your adeptness at managing front office functions, using various EMR platforms, and handling patient registration will be essential.

• Efficiently answer, handle, and screen incoming phone calls to provide excellent customer service.
• Welcome and register patients, ensuring a smooth and timely process.
• Maintain and prepare patient charts with accuracy, ensuring all information is up-to-date.
• Handle check-out functions, including a thorough review of encounter form data.
• Collect co-payments from patients, ensuring accurate financial transactions.
• Schedule follow-up appointments for patients, coordinating with their preferences and healthcare provider availability.
• Complete daily bank deposits, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately accounted for.
• Perform day-end reconciliation duties to keep the accounts updated.
• Use a variety of EMR platforms, including Epic EMR, athenahealth, and eClinicalWorks, to maintain patient records.
• Complete charge/receipt-entry and summaries for all office-related services, ensuring accuracy and completeness. • Minimum of one year experience as a Medical Receptionist or in a related role
• Proficiency in Medical Front Office procedures and operations
• Experience with EMR - Electronic Medical Records is essential
• Proven abilities as a Patient Registrar
• Solid understanding of Patient Registration processes
• Familiarity with Epic EMR software
• Experience with athenahealth and eClinicalWorks software is a plus
