Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Engineer

Premier Motorsports company is looking for a Vehicle Dynamics Simulation Engineer onsite in Santa Clarita, CA. This position is needed for 1 year with a possibility of a year extension. The preferred candidate will have this experience:: Simulation Model Development
- 2 year experience creating and maintaining vehicle models in Dymola or similar physics modelling environment.
- Simulink
- Control Systems
- C++
Experience with populating and calibrating vehicle model parameters.
Experience performing correlation studies: comparing vehicle model behaviors with real-world test data.Broad knowledge of modelling and characterization of all vehicle systems: e.g. aerodynamics, brakes, multi-body suspensions, tires, powertrains, etc.
Hands-On experience in physical testing to characterize vehicle systems: K&C, shaker rig, damper dynos, wind tunnel testing, inertia rigs, brake dynos, tire rig testing etc.
Vehicle DynamicsSolid understanding of vehicle ride and handling dynamics principles and theory.
Excellent understanding of dynamics of mechanical systems: including analysis in the frequency domain.
