Inventory Control Coordinator
Overview:
JOB SUMMARY: Coordinates and manages day-to-day product ordering and inventory levels to ensure that GSF objectives for customer satisfaction are met.
Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Calculates and places orders to ensure product is available for customer orders. (30%)
- Monitors inventory levels, reviewing and adjusting open orders to ensure maintenance of optimal inventory levels. (15%)
- Coordinates and collaborates with vendors and carriers to resolve product and transportation issues and problems. (10%)
- Takes physical inventory using a handheld computer. (10%)
- Gathers, reviews, and disseminates new product information and product changes to internal departments to ensure accurate product information. (10%)
- Coordinates backhaul, and linehaul activity, including assigning loads and communicating changes to outside carriers, to maximize benchmark freight revenue. (10%)
- Calculates prices on products to ensure proper vendor payments and accurate prices for customers. (5%)
- Maintains product and vendor records in the DOS 2000 system. (5%)
- Monitors and maintains GPM reporting for McDonalds. (5%)
- Performs other related or assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and experience equivalent to:
Education/Certification:
AA degree in materials/logistics management, business math, business administration or communications from an accredited vocational, technical, or community college
Experience:
3 to 6 years of relevant work experience in inventory management, purchasing, transportation, logistics, shipping and receiving in an automated environment.
