Overview:

Avison Young is seeking a candidate for the Financial Analyst role in the Chicago office for our Global finance team. The ideal candidate has an undergraduate degree in finance or accounting. The candidate must be able to multi-task, be detail oriented and have excellent skills using Excel and Powerpoint.

Having prior experience in an enterprise accounting system such as Netsuite or Adaptiv is a plus. You will have an opportunity to work with senior level professionals from this high-profile team within an organization where management is approachable and transparent to help each, and every person succeeds not only individually, but also as a team.

The base salary is aligned with market data and is estimated between $70,000 to $80,000 with the ability to achieve additional compensation through bonus. This salary range reflects base compensation for the position across all US locations. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and other factors including relevant education/training, experience, and internal equity.

Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Associate Director, Financial Planning & Analysis, provide reporting, analytical, forecasting and project support
  • Assist with the development of regular in-depth analyses of the Company’s financial and operating performance
  • Assist with monthly and quarterly financial closing and reporting processes, including preparation of financial statements and dashboards
  • Assist with preparation of presentations for various audiences, including Managers, Principals, BOD, Executive Committee, and investors
  • Assist with the monthly revenue forecasting process
  • Assist with annual budget process

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in financial planning and analysis
  • Understanding of financial principles and accounting experience is preferred
  • High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Strong prioritization skills with ability to run multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong financial and analytical skills
  • Knowledge of NetSuite and/or Adaptive is a plus
  • Knowledge of Thinkcell a plus
