Accounts Receivable Clerk

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team in the legal industry, based in Washington, D.C. The role involves a combination of in-office and remote work, offering a dynamic working environment. As an Accounts Receivable Clerk, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining customer accounts, interacting with members, and reporting to the assistant controller.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and update customer accounts to ensure accurate records.
• Process and reconcile account receivables using various software including Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP, and Microsoft Excel.
• Handle cash applications and billing procedures.
• Engage with members to address inquiries and resolve account-related issues.
• Perform commercial collections and cash collection tasks.
• Generate and manage aging reports to track overdue accounts.
• Collaborate with the assistant controller to ensure efficient operation of the accounts receivable function.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of customer data and financial information.
• Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Continuously improve accounts receivable processes and procedures.

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role in the legal industry
• Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Experience in Billing and Cash Applications
• Knowledge of Cash Collections and Commercial Collections
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred.
