Sr. Accountant

We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to join our team in Montebello, California. In this role, you will be at the forefront of a variety of accounting operations, working closely with Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable, assisting in monthly closing processes, and handling numerous reporting duties.

• Collaborate with AR & AP to ensure data accuracy and timely posting
• Stepping in to support AR and AP personnel as necessary
• Addressing accounting issues across AR, AP, Inventory, and General Ledger
• Handling the processing of monthly closing, including accruals, depreciation and amortization entries, bank reconciliation, and balance sheet GL account reconciliations
• Reviewing AP and AR aging reports against GL balance
• Generating required reports and handling varying reporting duties
• Filing sales tax both monthly and quarterly, as well as annual business tax with LA County
• Processing commission reports and entries
• Overseeing vendor and customer set up and updates
• Liaising with production managers, controller, and other team members to understand and assist procurement needs
• Managing film inventory activities and status
• Supervising record keeping and electronic filing
• Performing other accounting-related duties as assigned
• Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.
• Proficient in executing Month End Close procedures.
• Competent in handling Month-end Close Activities.
• Demonstrated ability in preparing Month-end Financial statements.
• Experience in recording Month-end Journal Entries is required.
• Proven skills in generating Month-end Reports.
• Familiarity with Asset Inventory management is necessary.
• Must have a thorough understanding of GAAP Accounting principles.
• Proficiency in using Sage 100 accounting software is preferred
