Cable Technician - Robert Half

As a cable technician, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing cable infrastructure for our residential and commercial customers. Day to day duties:

• Install, maintain, and repair cable infrastructure in accordance with company standards and procedures.
• Troubleshoot cable problems and identify and resolve the root cause.
• Provide customer service to resolve cable issues.
• Inspect and test cable systems to ensure proper operation.
• Keep accurate records of work performed.
• Comply with all safety regulations.
• 1 or more years of experience in cable installation and maintenance, including the following: CAT 5, CAT 6, coax, low voltage, data cabling, fiber optic, RG/RJ terminations, server racks, network equipment, access control, audio/visual, and/or phone systems.
• Strong technical skills and knowledge of cable systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a variety of environments, including heights and confined spaces.
• Possess a valid driver's license
• All candidates must pass background check and drug screening in accordance with local laws
• Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and carrying.
• Occasional climbing and working at heights.
