Fund Accountant

Yuzo Shimura is looking for a Fund Accountant to join his client's team. The primary function of this role is to manage the financial aspects of our investment funds, ensuring accurate and timely reporting. This role is instrumental in maintaining our high standards of financial integrity.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily financial operations of various investment funds
• Manage all elements of fund accounting, such as the preparation and review of financial statements and distribution calculations
• Coordinate with external auditors and tax advisors for regulatory compliance and timely completion of audits and tax filings
• Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information to stakeholders
• Oversee ongoing reconciliations within the accounting operations of the funds
• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency
• Maintain accurate customer credit records
• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary
• Manage capital call statements to ensure accuracy and timeliness
• Utilize various accounting software systems and tools such as Abila MIP, Bloomberg Terminal, and ADP - Financial Services for efficient fund management.

• Proficiency in Abila MIP and other Accounting Software Systems.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services.
• Ability to create and manage Banner Ads.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal.
• Knowledge of Accounting Functions.
• Experience with Auditing.
• Understanding of Budget Processes.
• Ability to manage Capital.
• Experience with Cash Activity management.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks.
• Knowledge of financial regulations and legislation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
