Summary: Receive all packages and incoming materials. Handle shipping personnel needs, work with drivers and dispatch to ensure that trucks are properly lined up. Handle scheduling issues with Shipping Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities: Inspects all incoming and outgoing product and supplies and document for defects.

Maintain FIFO and roll stock inventory tracking systems.
Perform all documentation as assigned.
Operate plant PC’s and appropriate systems to complete assigned tasks.
Must be able to work with incoming Drivers, take phone calls and coordinate with Dispatchers to ensure that enough trailers are on site when needed.
Other tasks as assigned.
Maintains area in a neat and orderly fashion.
Maintains confidentiality.
Ensure safety standards and standard operating procedures are always maintained.
Ensure unit counts, load tags and bills of lading are accurate.
Effectively communicate issues with quantities, shipments, and equipment.
Conducts all interactions with employees, vendors, consultants, etc. in a professional manner.
Follows all company, local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations.

Requirements/Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Ability to operate measurement instruments and record data. Must be capable of performing all centerlining and quality checks.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Able to read a tape measure and various gauges Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must pass drug test. Must complete all required OSHA, and Safety. Complete Skills Checklist.
