Immediate direct hire opening for multiple Safety, Assistant Managers to work on the LAWA project.

Essential Job Duties
Ability to:
  1. Work with Contractor Safety Team, LAWA Inspection Team, Project Management Team, and others in order to ensure assigned projects are implementing effective safety programs.
  2. Walk all assigned projects on a regular basis and possibly multiple times dally which can total a few miles a day.
  3. Engage with the LAWA TDG Safety platform to perform Task Hazard Analysis audits and report safety observations.
  4. Meet with LAWA Inspectors and other stakeholders regarding safety concerns and fellow-up actions taken by the contractor.
  5. Review written Safety Plans and verify results of safety performance and compliance in the field on an ongoing basis to evaluate the effectiveness of the implementation.
  6. Assist the Project/Construction Manager to verify that contractors comply with written
Analysis (JHAs).
  1. Be self-motivated individual who can research pertinent requirements not readily available.
  2. Attend Project Progress and Project Safety Committee meetings as directed by the Program Safety Manager to monitor the ongoing safety effort of the Construction Manager and contractor.
  3. Attend and participated in Construction Safety Advisory Council Meetings, as directed by the Program Safety Manager.
  4. Ability to write clear and effective reports.
  5. Attend and participate in the Monthly All-Hands Safety Meeting to discuss general program safety concerns and successes as well as present updates and information on safety regulations and requirements including a monthly training program component on relevant safety subject matter.
  6. Coordinate with management to promote the proactive and behavior-based TDG Safety Program both internally and externally (e.g., National Safety Council, trade and professional organizations, etc.) and to bring positive publicity to the program and TDG.
  7. Contribute to the advancement of TDG's goals through commitment to productive collaboration with all stakeholders.
  8. Ability to multi-task and prioritize competing responsibilities.
Hardware/Software Knowledge
  1. Effectively use Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro software.
  2. Large-scale construction management type software such as Prolog, VEO, Procore and other computer software and applications as needed.3. Create PowerPoint Presentations.
