Hospitality Coordinator - Full Time - Washington, DC

Founded in 1997, the company is a two-time recipient of the Human Resources Professional Excellence Award granted by the Society for Human Resource Management.The Hospitality Coordinator is responsible for the execution of all internal events and conference services. The Hospitality Coordinator main responsibility is setting up and breaking down all events with the highest degree of professionalism and in accordance with high industry standards.
Duties will also include ensuring that all meeting rooms are properly maintained and stocked.
Hours: Monday through Friday Day Shift (with flexibility to work extended mornings or evenings to support events)Location: 15 Street NW, Washington, DC 20005

Compensation: While the compensation for this position is finally dependent upon the candidate’s experience/qualifications, the compensation for this position will be between $20 to $22 per hour.
NOTE: As a requirement of this position, you must be a U.S citizen. Applicant must be able to meet client standards to fill position.
Responsibilities:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Execute quality, timely conference room set-up and post-conference room support to meet function specifications of all internal events.
- Handle logistics of food and beverage service for internal events in accordance with high industry standards and internal policies and procedures.
- Assist IST site manager and associates by coordinating and communicating effectively on duties and responsibilities assigned.
- Coordinate deliveries and cleaning services with security, receptionists, and day porters.
- Maintain the proper inventories of stocked items and equipment in meeting rooms and catering kitchens.
- Must be willing to work overtime extended hours.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED); College Degree is preferred
- 1-2 years experience in a high volume conference services facility or hospitality experience
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Keyboarding and windows environment PC skills; Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively work individually or in a team environment
- Competency in performing multiple functional tasks; Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems
- Capable of moving and lifting furniture and catering equipment up to 55 pounds
- Willingness to cross-train for other job functions
