Job Title: Human Capital Management (HCM) Analyst
Reports To: Vice President, People Operations
FLSA Status: Exempt

Location: Shared Services Office, Irving, TX

Summary:

The Human Capital Management (HCM) Analyst will be responsible for the configuration, maintenance, administration, and support of the Human Resources Information System (HRIS) and other People Operations platforms in alignment with people programs, goals, and initiatives.
The HCM Analyst serves as a subject matter expert for employee data and systems managing information while ensuring data integrity, testing of system changes and upgrades, complex report writing and analysis of data flows for process improvement opportunities.

This role will also be responsible for the development and advancement of robust reporting and analytics for multiple areas such as Payroll, Benefits, Talent Acquisition, and others.

Responsibilities:

ExponentHR System Management and Integration:

  • Serves as the primary point of contact and system administrator for the HRIS solution, to include any configuration enhancements
  • Establishes documentation of all system configurations and responsible for the regular review and maintenance of documentation
  • Creates and configures system to align with current business process
  • Help strategically drive adoption of the HRIS technology and processes across the organization
  • Resolves HRIS issues; acts as troubleshooter; works closely with IT and HRIS vendors to support upgrades, enhancements, testing and the roll out of new modules
  • Develops training and documentation of system use for HRIS users
  • Maintains system security access control by creating roles and granting permissions

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Ability to analyze, recommend and develop reporting and dashboards
  • Designs and prepares reports for employee data contained in the HRIS solution
  • Ensures data integrity and follows quality control measures for data accuracy
  • Works with Payroll, Benefits, IT, Talent Acquisition, external vendors and others in setting up validation tables and defining data fields to insure proper reporting of data
  • Utilizes data, research and analytical insights to improve existing and recommend new Human Resources programs with maximum business impact
  • Combine HR knowledge with information retrieval skills to create, maintain, and execute regularly scheduled and ad hoc reports that contribute to analysis, decision-making and compliance.
  • Serves as the primary analytics and reporting specialist for the HR function by developing standard and ad hoc reports
  • Acts as the data expert for standardization and integration throughout the organization

General Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides functional and technical support for People Operations technology solutions
  • Partners with the payroll team to review and audit employee data changes, new hire entries, and other information sources to ensure data integrity
  • Maintains working knowledge of agency policies, regulatory requirements and benefits to provide guidance to employees and managers to ensure compliance and consistency
  • Maintains communication with the payroll team, appropriate HR staff, and department managers, in all areas as needed, to ensure employee basic data information is accurate and issues/errors are addressed in a timely manner
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, HR, Information Systems, Data Science or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of eight (8) years of HRIS analyst experience.
  • Experience producing HR analytical reports and dashboards
  • Experience with a full range of HR processes applications (Benefits, Payroll, Reporting, Recruiting) and ERP platforms preferred
  • Proficiency with ExponentHR is highly preferred
  • Proficiency with creating scripts to automate integrations/interfaces between various systems is required
  • Proficiency with SQL is required
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office suite of applications, specifically Excel.
  • Excellent analytical skills and knowledgeable about concepts, practices, and procedures within the HRIS field
  • Ability to interpret and present large quantities of data information
  • Ability to present findings and translate data into easily understood documentation
  • Strong attention to detail, high level of accountability, and effective organizational skills
  • Ability to be self-reliant and have strong initiative as well as possess solid business judgment.

  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills.

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. The workplace is in a corporate office environment and the temperature in the work environment is usually moderate. The position’s primary office is the Shared Services, Irving, TX office; however, telework or work at home, on the road, or in a satellite location for portions of the workweek may occur, depending upon project needs and requirements in coordination with your direct supervisor and/or most senior leader of your department.
