What You'll Do:

We are currently seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of accounts payable and supports various accounting functions, including production-related reporting.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty responsibly and satisfactorily:

  • Collect, review, and enter accounts payable data daily/weekly using various software. Ensure data accuracy and meet established deadlines.
  • Quantify and report to multiple managers factory daily performance in units/dollars shipped, orders received, on-time delivery, efficiency reporting and other reports as needed.
  • Assist with maintaining accurate timekeeping and headcount records.
  • Process vendor invoices, including coding and 3-way match on purchase orders.
  • Handle credit card expenses, employee reimbursements, account coding, and receipt verification.
  • Review vendor statements, assist with vendor file maintenance, and ensure 1099 report compliance.
  • Support month-end close processes including writing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts. Create and distribute monthly financial reports to stakeholders.
  • Learn and perform other production support functions to serve as a backup during vacations.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.

What We're Looking For :

The qualified candidate will have at least 1-2 years of Accounting experience. An Associates or Bachelors degree is preferred as well as at least 1 year of Accounts Payable experience. A high school diploma or GED is required for this position.

Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.

Other qualifications include:

  • Strong information collection, analysis, and management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organization.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and protect financial operations.
  • Strong team player with a positive and professional attitude.
  • Effective verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with SAP, Readsoft, Ariba is preferred.
