Deputy Program Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving transformational initiatives for public health and healthcare agencies and providing advice, guidance, and recommendations directly to client senior executives.
  • Candidate will lead and manage the entire project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring adherence to project management best practices.
  • Should be able to direct the completion of project tasks within estimated time frames and budget constraints, monitor project progress, identify and mitigate risks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to define scope, objectives and deliverables
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish tasks
  • Direct the efforts of others and assumes temporary responsibility for the overall coordination of the contract in the PMs absence
  • Interface directly with management and/or customers
  • Responsible for the review/approval process for contract activities as assigned by the PM
  • Responsible for other duties as assigned by the Program Manager (e.g., monitoring safety, improving customer communication with the contract team, and devising ways of improving the customer experience).
  • Generate routine and/or ad-hoc reports for management/customers
  • Provide senior-level management with reports and other such data for review and decision making

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or an appropriate area of specialization from an accredited college or university
  • Must have 10 years of relevant experience
  • Experience providing PMO and/or communications/stakeholder engagement support for a large client program
  • Experience advising/briefing senior executives
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization, and time management abilities, with a keen eye for detail
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction for specific projects or sub-tasks
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office tools: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • High degree of comfort working in unstructured situations and ability to maintain poise, maturity, and work well under pressure
  • Solid verbal communication and narrative development skills, with the ability to summarize and convey key insights from analyses to senior audiences
  • Interest and passion for the role of government and responsibilities of the public sector
  • May be required to undergo a standard background check along with verification of education requirements

Pay Range: USD $145,000.00 - USD $155,000.00 /Yr.
