Position Summary:
Our ideal candidate with strong analytical skills, a partnering mindset, and a focus on rigorous process. The Project Controls Analyst will work directly with the Operations and Deployment teams – understanding their processes and the development life-cycle for building EV charging sites, leveraging NetSuite and Salesforce systems to manage cost data, and utilizing communication skills to help project managers and Operations VPs and the FP&A Manager to drive financial stewardship.
Responsibilities:
- Working closely with the operations teams to understand budgets, track spending and commitments against budgets, and use predictive modeling to anticipate any overruns.
- Supporting both operations and finance in developing in-year P&L and capex (capital expenditure) forecasts.
- Providing budgetary control functions to ensure IONNA managers stay within budget and delegations of authority.
- Supporting the FP&A Manager in monthly KPI and financial reporting.
- Participate in other FP&A related projects as needed
Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related area
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant practice experience, preferably in FP&A or modeling capacity. Prior work experience involving EV charging or other infrastructure businesses is helpful.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to juggle competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Have excellent teamwork and integration skills and must be a dynamic and proactive professional.
- Ability to systematically analyze complex problems, draw relevant conclusions, and implement appropriate solutions.
- Strong verbal and written skills with ability to convey complex information that others can readily follow. This role is highly interactive with the operations teams and requires building strong working relationships with those teams.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask.
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Office. Experience with data analytic tools such as Power BI and/or NetSuite is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with a business-level to near native-level fluency in English (written and oral).
