Controller

We are in search of a Controller to become a part of our team in the non-profit sector. The position is based in Westborough, Massachusetts. The role involves overseeing the full cycle of accounting processes, handling client representation for corporations as directed by the Chief Financial Officer (CFO), and supervising accounting staff.

This role is hybrid with 2 days being work from home.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation of all related schedules and analysis for Financial Statements.
• Supervise the accounting staff to ensure efficient operations.
• Oversee the renewal of insurance policies for client companies as directed by the CFO.
• Handle client representation for corporations as directed by the CFO.
• Oversee the full cycle accounting process including reviewing monthly journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage the preparation of annual Uniform Financial Reports and related supporting schedules for companies as directed by the CFO.
• Assist CFO or CEO with Ad-Hoc reporting and special projects as necessary.
• Conduct a review and analysis of materials necessary for completion of annual audits.
• Oversee Budget Preparations for client corporations.
• Ensure the use of accounting software systems in the execution of accounting functions.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the non-profit sector
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Demonstrated knowledge of Accounting Functions
• Experience managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proficiency in conducting Auditing processes
• Experience with Budget Processes, including planning, implementation, and oversight
• Skilled in Month End Close procedures
• Ability to prepare and analyze Monthly Statements
