Reports to: Director of the Office of WorshipFLSA Status: Temporary Part-time, Non-exempt, 19 hours per week
PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Administrative Assistant aids the Director of the Office of Worship in the implementation of the mission and vision for liturgical life throughout the Archdiocese of San Francisco. The Assistant is responsible for helping to organize and execute the training of ministers, planning and celebration of large liturgical events, general office work, and order management.
Major Responsibilities and Regular Activities- Assist in scheduling and facilitating annual Liturgical Ministers' Training Sessions in the Fall
- Archdiocesan Liturgies:
Assist in set up and clean up
Act as Hospitality Minister
- Manage registration for events
- Coordinate publication orders/sales with Liturgy Training Publications (LTP)
- Prepare Check Requests and Deposits
- Provide information to Worship Office callers
- Maintain and promote use of website
- Excellent organization skills
- Computer literacy
- Spanish a benefit - but not required
- Previous office experience
- Basic knowledge of liturgy and Catholic doctrine
Hours needed: 19.0 hours per week. Can be three full days a week or flexible.
Weekend work is commonFrequent driving throughout the Archdiocese
Occasional moderate physical activity, including lifting of light office equipment and materials, not to exceed 35 lbs.; •Misc. bending, walking, lifting and carrying, stair-climbing at Cathedral or other churches in preparation for liturgies.
PAY RANGE: $27.50-$29.50 per hour
