RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work in team-oriented environment, supporting PS v.8.x. Financials (General Ledger, Payables, Purchasing, Fixed Asset Accounting and Expenses) and local interfaces to and from these systems.
- Work on production support, development and enhancement requests.
- Responsible for the collection, analysis and documentation of a client’s business requirements. Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:
- Serves as a coordinator of enhancement efforts which may involve other BL ITEC teams, locally and at other locations (especially Paris).
- Participates in planning sessions with a client to implement process improvement within an assigned client area. Documents discussions and agreements.
- Prepares estimates and detailed project plans for enhancement efforts.
- Understands client’s priorities of projects and requests. Assesses client needs utilizing a structured requirements process (gathering, analyzing, documenting, and managing changes) to prioritize immediate business needs and recommends options, risks and cost vs. benefits.
- Develops, writes, and communicates business requirements for the implementation of business solutions. Procures technical assistance to help in problem resolution.
- Develops user test cases and validates test results during user acceptance testing.
- Investigates, resolves and escalates problems.
- Anticipates potential problems and plan accordingly.
- Participates/Coordinates relevant applications role in firm wide projects (disaster recovery, GLS initiatives).
- Availability to be on call for application system problems after standard business hours.
- Follow SG policies and procedures, e.g., change management procedures.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Required/Must have:- 2-4 years TOTAL work experience with PeopleSoft Financials (General Ledger) and experience with query, tree designer and tree manager.
- Knowledge of project life cycle skills, emphasis on requirements definition and testing.
- Trouble-shooting/Analytical skills: analytical ability to find the business rules as captured in data attributes.
- Formal documentation skills: business and functional requirement documents.
- Strong Verbal/Written communication skills.
- Client focus/Service orientation.
- Must be able to manage multiple efforts concurrently, be flexible in responding to business changes, and be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of technical concepts, including good working experience with SQL for data analysis.
- Knowledge of PS Payables, Purchasing, Asset Management and Expenses and HRMS systems.
- Knowledge of and experience with SQR, N’Vision reports and PS workflow.
BUSINESS KNOWLEDGE
Required/Must have:- Knowledge of accounting principles (US GAAP, French GAAP and/or IAS).
- Knowledge of some financial banking products.
- Can operate within broad guidelines without close supervision.

PRIOR WORK EXPERIENCE
Required/Must have:- 1-2+ years of relevant business analysis work experience with knowledge of accounting principles and/or in a Financial Institution.
- Direct interaction with business line users.
EDUCATION
Required/Must have:- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems.
- Finance or Accounting emphasis.
- Conversational French.
