Responsibilities:

Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm

JOB SUMMARY

Oversees Level 1 and 2 EMR support group. Creates, modifies and reports on process and procedure for the team. Mentors team members on workflow and best practices. Performs employee reviews. Drives vendor tickets to closure. Monitors and coordinates employee usage.
Represents or assigns representation for EMR Helpdesk on projects. Performs impact analysis, planning, and implements controlled, tested changes to configurable elements of the electronic medical records system, including but not limited to workflow, assessments, NDPs/careplans, responsible positions, core configuration tables, workers, and worker rights and authorities.

Provides Level 2 user support for EMR systems.

Qualifications:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 A.  Education/Regulatory Requirements:

o Bachelor's Degree in Business, Clinical Informatics or Information systems preferred.

 B.  Skills:

o 3 to 5 years of experience in health care processes and information systems required.

o Experience with EMR highly desired.

o Intermediate in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required.

o Exposure to and use of Visio and Microsoft Project desirable.

o Ability to maintain and manipulate complex Excel spreadsheets a must.

o Ability to use independent judgment

o Works effectively in a team environment.

o Strong problem solving skills and detail oriented.

o Extended hours possible upon approaching deadlines.

o Knowledge of hospice or home health regulations preferred.

 C.  Professional Requirements:

o Experience and participation in information systems implementations and/or operations, including requirements gathering and documentation, requirements confirmation, system configuration impact analysis, quality assurance testing.

o Works well under stress with deadlines.

o Ability to handle a variety of complex tasks simultaneously.

o Excellent interpersonal and writing skills.
