We are seeking a Sr. Fund Admin Specialist (Sr. Accountant) to join our team located in Glendora, California. This role is centered in the financial services industry and requires a high level of organization and attention to detail. As a Sr. Fund Admin Specialist, you will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial reports, budgets, and SEC filings, responding to client inquiries, and participating in fund-related calls.
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and review financial reports and budgets to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements
- Oversee and scrutinize fund invoices to ensure correctness based on the established agreements
- Participate in calls related to fund start-up/reorganization/liquidation
- Respond promptly and professionally to client questions and requests
- Review and analyze SEC filings, including Form N-PORT, supporting schedules for Form N-CSR, Form 24f-2 filings and Form N-CEN
- Review and validate monthly advisory/expense tests and Admin and Pricing Questionnaires
- Assess and review Trustee deferred compensation plan monthly true up and quarterly statements
- Analyze trial balance for incoming fund reorganization, including pre-reorganization expense true-up
- Review and verify shareholder reports and quarterly schedule of investment reporting
- Actively participate in the review of quarterly budget to actual analysis and annual budgets, including liquidation estimates.
- Applicant must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in account reconciliation is essential
- Experience in balance sheet reconciliation is required
- Familiarity with bank reconciliations is necessary
- Skills in general ledger management are crucial
- Capability to handle journal entries is needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a must
- Experience with month-end close is preferred
- Ability to analyze financial statements is crucial
- Experience with annual audited financial statements is required
- Familiarity with annual financial reporting is necessary
- Skills in consolidated financial statements are essential
- Proficiency in financial statement preparation is a must
- Experience with monthly financial statements is necessary
- Ability to review financial statements is required
- Familiarity with year-end financial statements is a plus
- CPA certification, on track to become a CPA, or CPA eligible is a MUST
- Experience with mutual funds is a plus
- Proficiency in general ledger system is required
- Skills in accounting control are necessary
- Knowledge of SEC regulations is crucial
- Familiarity with SEC reporting is a plus.
