We are looking for an Attorney/Lawyer to join our team in Rye, New York, United States. In this role, you will be handling a variety of insurance defense matters, from inception to resolution, and collaborating with senior attorneys on complex cases.
This role is within the legal industry and requires a high level of organization and attention to detail.
Responsibilities:- Handle a caseload of insurance defense matters, including legal research and analysis on insurance laws and regulations
- Draft legal papers, motions, and briefs
- Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and insurance adjusters
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide legal advice and guidance to clients
- Stay updated on developments in insurance law and industry trends
- Manage legal project timelines and deliverables efficiently
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date client records
- Maintain professional and ethical standards in all interactions and activities
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment. • Must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Possession of a valid license to practice law in the state.
- A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Attorney or Lawyer is required.
- Proven experience in Insurance Defense and Insurance Defense Litigation.
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to argue cases convincingly.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and cases simultaneously.
- Proficient in using legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must have high ethical standards and professional integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a legal team.
- Must demonstrate attention to detail and accuracy in work.
- Ability to meet strict deadlines and work under pressure.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
