1Resource Group has a Direct Hire Opportunity in Baytown, Texas for a Sr. Sales Associate.
The Senior Sales Associate position is focused on driving the sales of high-performance and quality masterbatch products to the polymer processing market. This role is pivotal in establishing, maintaining, and growing distribution sales by fostering strong relationships with customers and expanding account penetration.Responsibilities include managing key accounts, engaging with current and prospective clients through regular interactions, and providing impactful presentations on product features and technologies. Active participation in field trials and demonstration projects will showcase product performance and applications.
A strong technical foundation is essential to effectively address customer challenges related to raw materials, formulations, manufacturing processes, and troubleshooting, ensuring tailored solutions and exceptional service delivery.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and execute effective sales strategies to increase revenue and market penetration. Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key customers and distributors. Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs are met and inquiries are handled promptly.Actively seek new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and client visits. Prepare and deliver persuasive sales presentations and product demonstrations to potential customers. Negotiate prices, contracts, and terms with clients to close profitable deals.
Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote products and services. Generate new leads and build industry connections to expand the customer base. Provide expert advice to customers, ensuring they choose the right solutions for their needs.
Continuously update and maintain deep knowledge of the companys products, including technical specifications, applications, and industry standards. Collaborate with the R&D team to understand new product developments and ensure readiness to support sales efforts.
Conduct detailed market and competitor analysis to identify trends, potential threats, and opportunities. Provide strategic insights to management to adapt to market changes and refine product positioning. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities, forecasts, and customer data in the companys CRM or database system.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze sales data to track performance against targets and identify patterns or areas for improvement. ? Ensure all sales processes adhere to legal and company policies, including regulatory requirements specific to the masterbatch and additives industry.? Prepare and maintain detailed documentation for contracts, pricing approvals, and internal reports. ? Work closely with internal teams such as production, logistics, and quality assurance to ensure seamless operations and delivery. ? Assist in inventory planning and demand forecasting to align production schedules with market needs.
? Maintain professional conduct, attendance, and high ethical standards in the workplace, complying with company's policies and procedures. ? Fulfill mandatory training requirements applicable for department and job duties as appropriate.

Salary range $85k-105k plus bonus
Requirements

EXPERIENCE- 8 years of Experience in Sales or Business Development roles within masterbatch, additives, plastics, or a closely related chemical industry.
proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets. negotiating contracts, and developing customer relationship.
EDUCATION
HS Diploma
Bachelors Degree-Required-Chemistry, Chemical Enginering, Polymer Science, Materials Science, or a related technical field.
Master DegreePreferred- MBA with a focus on Sales, Marketing, or International Business.
