Overview:
Full-Time Positions. The purpose and objective of this position is to effectively manage delivery operations and personnel to ensure departmental and company goals of making timely, accurate deliveries in a professional, efficient and safe manner.Position will be responsible for all day-to-day operational aspects of the delivery department through hands-on execution and the delegation of duties to staff.
Responsibilities:
- Duties to include ,but are not limited to:
- Recruit, interview, hire, train, coach, counsel and supervise delivery person
- Manage and maintain delivery department schedules, routing duties, budgets and objectives
- Ensure all routes are assigned and delivered daily.
- Direct and manage daily activities related to dispatching, routing and tracking of fleet via GPS.
- Manage delivery employee’s attendance and timesheets
- Work with all departments to include sales, warehouse, office and finance to complete billing, coding, AR resolution, etc.
- Schedule repairs and routine maintenance of fleet and keep detailed records
- Ensure compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations and records are up to date.
- Lead, motivate and inspire team to ensure a positive, performance driven team environment
- Utilize tools and technology available to analyze data/reports to develop and initiate processes on improvements within department.
- This is a management position that may require long hours (no designated start or finish time)

Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year supervisor/manager experience required.
- High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be knowledgeable of Memphis and surrounding areas.
- Routing experience preferred.
- Must have and be able to maintain DOT Medical Certification.
- Must have and be able to maintain valid Tennessee Driver’s License with Class F Endorsement
- CDL License & Experience a plus.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs repetitively
- Must be able a team player with the ability to communicate with people of all levels.
- Must be able to work flexible hours.
- Basic to proficient knowledge of computer applications (i.e. word, excel, outlook, etc.)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must have basic mathematical skills and be able to operate a calculator.
- Must be able to prioritize and work in a rapidly changing, fast growth environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management and organizational skills
- Must be able to pass background check (i.e., police backgrounds, reference checks…).
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record:
- Cannot have more than 2 moving violations,accidents or super speeder in last 3 years.
- Cannot have DUI, reckless driving or hit-and-run in last 5 years.
