Our trusted client is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant for a long-term engagement in the Hi-Tech Engineering industry. This role includes a variety of accounting responsibilities and will play a pivotal role in supporting the month and year-end close process.
This hybrid role is located in Ann Arbor Michigan and will report directly to the Assistant Controller.
The day-to-day responsibilities includes:
- Oversee and manage sales revenue, cash, prepaids, fixed assets, accruals, accounts payable, leases, investments, and stock compensation.
- Assist and support the month and year-end close process, including the preparation of workpapers, analysis, account reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Respond to internal or external reporting/ad-hoc requests as needed and address audit requests, including internal SOX compliance, external, and 401K.
- Adhere to the goals and policies outlined in the company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics.

The ideal candidate will have the following skill set:
- Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accountant role or similar position
- Hold a deep understanding and proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations
- Demonstrate expertise in handling general ledger and journal entries
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Experienced in performing month-end close activities
- Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-tech engineering environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or similar field
- CPA certification is preferred but not required
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
