Staff Accountant

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Staff Accountant in Pequannock, New Jersey. The chosen candidate will perform vital functions in the finance industry, working on-site and utilizing their skills in Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger, Journal Entries, Month End Close, NetSuite, and Microsoft Excel.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately manage and maintain customer credit records
- Process customer credit applications in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform monthly and quarterly account closures
- Conduct regular bank reconciliations
- Execute journal entries with precision
- Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Utilize NetSuite for various accounting tasks
- Maintain General Ledger with up-to-date entries
- Monitor customer accounts and implement necessary actions
- Use Microsoft Excel for data tracking and reporting • Demonstrated proficiency in Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience with General Ledger management
- Proven ability to prepare and analyze Journal Entries
- Familiarity with Month End Close procedures
- Proficiency in using NetSuite accounting software
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail and accuracy in work
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding business operations and taxation.
