Are you passionate about raising the bar for quality across innovative advertising solutions? Alexa Ads is looking for a dedicated Quality Assurance Engineer (QAE) who will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional ad experiences on multiple Echo devices.

You will ensure that our ads delight customers, unlocking premium content and experiences from both Amazon and third-party developers through seamless and well-integrated advertising.
As a QAE in the Alexa Ads team, you will be responsible for understanding the holistic customer journey and thinking critically about the best user experiences. Your insights will help shape ads that provide maximum value to customers while also delivering meaningful metrics to advertisers.You will develop test strategies, create test plans, lead the test execution effort, and ensure that all bugs are tracked and resolved.
Key job responsibilities- Raise the quality bar for ads across Alexa Echo devices, ensuring seamless integration into the voice-first experience.
- Think like an end user to identify areas where ads can enhance the Alexa experience, always prioritizing customer needs and expectations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies to ensure high-quality ad performance across multiple Echo devices.
- Create, execute, and maintain detailed test plans and scripts for thorough testing of Alexa Ads products.
- Lead and coordinate test execution efforts, ensuring efficient coverage and timely delivery of results.
- Effectively communicate test results to stakeholders, identifying key insights and areas for improvement.
- Find, track, and manage bugs to resolution, collaborating with engineering teams to ensure smooth fixes and retesting.
- Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and ad operations teams to implement solutions driving exceptional customer experiences.
- Provide actionable insights on ad perception, suggesting improvements to enhance user engagement and satisfaction.
- Inspect advertiser needs by reviewing key metrics such as click-through rates, user engagement, and customer feedback.
- Develop automated tests and QA processes to ensure consistent high-quality delivery of Alexa Ads features.
- Perform functional and usability testing for both new and existing ad formats to ensure compatibility with Alexa’s voice environment.- 4+ years of quality assurance engineering experience
- Experience in automation testing
- Experience in manual testing
- Experience as QA lead on medium to large sized projects- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong problem solving and trouble shooting skills with the ability to come up with creative solutions to impossible-to-solve problems.
- Proven experience defining and pioneering an effective quality assurance process
- Experience with testing high scale high availability web services.
- Understanding of software engineering practices & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including agile software development, use of software IDEs, use of source control management.
- Experience with testing methodologies (Unit, Scrum) in an agile application development environment.
- Experience in developing and implementing quality test suites, test plans, and test cases.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $102,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Amazon is a total compensation company.
