Position Title: Vice President or Senior Vice President (DOE) Commercial Deposits Business Development Officer for a well-capitalized, growing, entrepreneurial Commercial bank in Denver, Colorado. Hybrid - Flexible.

Working closely with a team of experienced Commercial Relationship Managers, SBA Lenders, and Private Bankers, (and TM Teammates) the principal role of the BDO is to identify and meet with prospects, developing needs-based assessments, and providing (selling) cash management and depository services to small to medium sized commercial businesses in Colorado.

Requirements:

It is essential that the BDO has a current and active network of Commercial Businesses and Centers of Influence they can design a marketing plan around. Enjoys and Thrives at identifying, building, and deepening relationships by providing excellent service and adds value to client’s business.

COI’s and Relationships should include small to medium sized business owners, corporate executives, CPAs, attorneys, commercial real estate professionals and others.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • 50% - 80% of your time will be spend spent in market generating business by networking and meeting with prospects, attending networking functions, and community events, providing Value Add to COI’s and their networks, collaborating with commercial bankers and other internal product and services partners.
  • Operate in a consultative selling, trusted advisor role recognizing opportunities to help clients accomplish their goals, tackling business opportunities and mitigating risks to their success.
  • Once an opportunity is won, the Business Development Officer will continue to be the primary or secondary point of contact with clients ensuring high quality service and recognizing opportunities for deepening the relationship.

Other Responsibilities include:

Staying current with national, regional, and local industry trends, relevant bank regulations including BSA, AML, and others.
  • Participate in annual E-Learning programs and training as assigned.

Skills Required:

  • Experience in building and maintaining relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Strong Center of Influence (COI) network.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong prospecting and sales skills.

Education/Experience:

  • 4-year College Degree
  • 3-5 years Business Banking, Commercial Lending, or Treasury Management Sales experience

Location: Denver, Colorado or Phoenix, Arizona

Compensation: Depending on experience, and comfortability in meeting goals, the base salary for this position ranges from $110K to $150K, with quarterly bonuses of $10 - $40,000 per quarter (no cap). Total compensation potential of $150K to $300K per year.
