Position Summary
As aDirector of Human Resources, youwill be responsible to lead the design and execution of strategic HR initiatives that drive our companys growth and operational excellence. In this role, you will oversee the entire employee lifecycle from talent acquisition and onboarding to performance management and professional development ensuring that our HR practices are aligned with our mission to set new benchmarks in residential property management.You will work collaboratively with executive leadership to foster an inclusive, transparent, and high-performance work environment that attracts top talent and cultivates employee engagement across multi-state operations.

Requirements
Essential Requirements and Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Leadership
Develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business goals to support a growing real estate investment firm and property management firm
Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on all HR matters, including talent management, organizational development, and workforce planning
Lead and mentor the HR team, ensuring effective support for corporate staff and on-site property employees
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
Oversee recruitment, hiring and retention strategies to attract top talent for corporate and on-site property management roles
Partner with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and ensure a smooth onboarding process
Develop succession planning a leadership development programs
Employee Relations & Culture Development
Promote a positive and respectful workplace culture across corporate offices and field locations, ensuring alignment with company values
Manage and resolve complex employee relation issues, conducting investigations as needed
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across multiple jurisdictions
Compensation, Benefits & Payroll Oversight
Oversee payroll administration, benefits programs, and compensation structures to ensure market competitiveness
Manage relationships with benefits providers and handle annual open enrollment processes
Partner with finance and executive leadership on compensation strategy and budgeting
Compliance & Risk Management
Ensure company compliance with EEOC, FLSA, FMLA, ADA, OSHA, and other employment laws
Maintain up-to-date HR policies, handbooks, and training programs for corporate and field employees
Oversee workplace safety programs and risk mitigation strategies
Training & Development
Design and implement employee training programs, including compliance training, leadership development, and DEI initiatives
Create career growth opportunities to increase employee engagement and retention
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
10+ years of HR experience, with at least 5 years of leadership role at a 500+ employee company
HR experience in real estate, property management, or multi-site environment is highly preferred
Strong knowledge of employment laws and multi-state HR compliance
Experience with HRIS systems, payroll processing, ADP and benefits administration
HR Certifications preferred (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP)
