Math Associate Teacher (SY24-25, Middle School)
What You’ll Do
As a Math Associate Teacher, you will engage with a dynamic team of educators to foster the academic and social-emotional growth of Veritas Prep middle school scholars. In this role, you will receive hands-on training and support as you prepare to become a lead math teacher. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in math instruction and classroom management
- Providing one-on-one and small-group tutoring to enhance student understanding
- Participating in curriculum planning and lesson preparations
- Receiving coaching and feedback to improve teaching practices
- Conducting real-time classroom practice under the guidance of an experienced educator
This position is ideal for recent graduates, career changers, and aspiring math teachers seeking to gain valuable experience before leading their own classrooms.
Requirements
What You’ll Need (Qualifications)- A strong belief that all students can excel in math
- A passion for mathematics and teaching
- Ability to adapt to a variety of situations and support diverse learning needs
- Commitment to addressing issues of equity and inclusion in educational settings
- Experience working with youth (preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (preferred)
- Current authorization to work in the United States on or before your first day of employment
