Telecommunications Operations Manager - Baltimore

The Operations Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and overseeing all field project activities, ensuring the effective and efficient execution of work within budgetary constraints. This role also involves managing human resources, safety programs, and maintaining high levels of productivity and compliance with all regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and direct all operational details for field projects.
  • Maintain oversight of contract activity and company assets.
  • Coordinate operational execution to ensure efficient workflow and budget adherence.
  • Manage human resource functions and safety programs.
  • Oversee and support negotiations and contractual agreements.
  • Ensure smooth information flow through office operations.
  • Train and supervise field technicians, ensuring high-quality standards and professional conduct.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for project work and crew tasks.
  • Enhance business levels and complete contract work within budgeted levels.
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, or local regulations.
  • Maintain professional appearance and operational readiness of field operation vehicles.
  • Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of experience in operations management within a contractual business environment.
  • Strong background in cable and low voltage wiring systems, installation, estimating, and project management.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities with comprehensive knowledge in human resources and safety program management.
  • Excellent negotiating, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage stress from simultaneous demands.

Physical Requirements:

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, reaching, and handling of objects.
  • Ability to engage in physical activities in various environmental conditions.

Working Conditions:

  • Combination of indoor and outdoor settings in non-climate controlled environments.
  • Moderate to occasionally high noise levels.
