Responsibilities:

  • Ensure Reliable Infrastructure Deployment and Monitoring: Deploy, monitor, maintain, and support all systems infrastructure related to the location or studio, ensuring reliable performance and availability including servers, ESX, Filers (NetApp). Utilize tools like Grafana to deploy and manage service and infrastructure monitoring solutions, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues before they impact operations.
  • Optimize and Manage Cloud Environments: Utilize your experience with cloud service providers like Azure and AWS to manage and optimize cloud environments, including VPCs, VPNs, DNS, firewalls, and load balancers
  • Manage and Support Critical Systems: Oversee and maintain critical systems and applications, including Active Directory (AD), Azure AD (AAD), Adaxes, SCCM, and Intune, ensuring they are optimized and running efficiently. Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting to resolve any technical issues promptly.
  • Streamline Processes and Empower Users and Teammates: Identify opportunities to increase efficiency by implementing automated solutions that reduce manual workloads. Develop and support self-service solutions that empower end-users, decreasing dependency on support teams and fostering a more autonomous work environment.
  • Documentation and SOP Development: Collaborate with IT peers to develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documentation for repeatable tasks, ensuring consistent and efficient operations.
  • Oversee Projects and Ensure Compliance: Act as the project point of contact for larger Enterprise Service team initiatives, overseeing the execution of projects in alignment with organizational goals. Follow ZeniMax IT processes to manage change, incident/problem, and configuration management tasks, ensuring all activities comply with company standards and contribute to successful project outcomes.
  • Asset and Procurement Management: Manage the purchase of IT hardware and software for studio infrastructures, including tracking and managing IT assets.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of IT infrastructure experience or equivalent education: Demonstrated expertise in cloud service providers (Azure, AWS), networking, secret and certificate management, and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Extensive End User Compute and Desktop Engineering Expertise: Proven experience in managing and optimizing desktop engineering and end-user management platforms, including tools like Intune, SCCM, and similar technologies.
  • Strong Networking Expertise: Solid experience in the operations and engineering of routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers, with a strong understanding of networking fundamentals in both on-premise and cloud environments.
  • Proficient with Monitoring Tools: Experience deploying and maintaining monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or Datadog for service and infrastructure monitoring.
  • Hands-On Infrastructure Experience: Proven experience deploying and supporting on-site IT infrastructures, including servers, ESX, NetApp, and networking equipment.
  • Strong Documentation Skills: Ability to create detailed and clear SOPs and documentation for infrastructure processes.
  • Automation Expertise: Skilled in identifying and implementing automation opportunities using Python or PowerShell, with hands-on experience writing and deploying code to optimize processes. Capable of guiding others in adopting and utilizing automation solutions effectively.
  • Customer Service Oriented: Demonstrated commitment to delivering excellent technical support in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Previous experience at the client-side support level a plus.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to Work Independently and in a Team: Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a constantly evolving environment, with strong problem-solving skills and initiative.

Salary Range:

Lead Infrastructure Engineer - The typical base pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $125,000 - $240,000 per year.

ZeniMax has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. The range above reflects the potential base pay across the U.S. for this role; the applicable base pay range will depend on what ultimately is determined to be the candidate’s primary work location.
Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year.

Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.
