Staff Accountant

The role also involves participating in various annual projects and assisting with audit preparations.

Responsibilities:

• Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks efficiently
• Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Maintain and update vendor records, responding to vendor inquiries as needed
• Participate in annual projects, including managing IRS form 1099’s
• Assist with the preparation for various financial and grant-related audits
• Resolve general finance concerns and handle process improvement initiatives
• Use NetSuite for various accounting functions and data management
• Comply with all policies and practices to safeguard assets and maintain data confidentiality
• Accept flexible work assignments as responsibilities change over time
• Assist with general office duties as assigned

• Proficiency in using NetSuite software for accounting tasks
• Demonstrated experience in managing Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Proven track record in handling Accounts Payable (AP)
• Experience in conducting Account Reconciliation
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
• Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
• Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
• Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity
• CPA certification is desirable but not mandatory.
