Finance Manager, Advertising Finance
Amazon seeks a Finance Manager to be a key partner for the high growth Sponsored Advertising business directly supporting the GenAI Creative Experience product org.
This role will be instrumental in shaping the future of our Gen AI portfolio. The role will own building the financial framework and driving product analytics and decision making for emerging AI technologies, managing investment strategies, along with financial planning and business analytics for Gen AI products.This will include defining and understanding the the business operational and performance metrics while thinking big and proactively identifying new business growth opportunities and informing strategic investments. In addition, this role requires strong business sense and capability to independently drive business partnership, with regular visibility and interaction with senior leaders.
The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy and ever-changing environment. The drive and capability to shape the direction is a must, requiring an individual who is hungry to shape the future, and capitalize on the industry defining Gen AI trend.
Key job responsibilities- Partner with GenAI product team to anticipate business requirements, trends, and variances; develop action plans; measure and analyze initiatives and results; identify and drive growth and improvement opportunities
- Lead forecasting efforts of operating expenses including AWS Infra expenses, third party licensing deals, headcount, and other resource allocation.
- Uphold and enforce an environment of ethical practices and strong financial controllership.
- Support financial and goal planning by setting working backward timelines for business operating reviews, facilitating monthly financial reviews with leadership
- 5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
- 5+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree
- Experience performing ad hoc analysis using advanced Excel
- Experience building and managing financial models for business forecasting and problem solving- 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
- 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
- Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.Amazon is a total compensation company.
