Senior Talent and Learning Specialist

Join a team of Learning and Development specialists that provide first class learning and development programs across the Marsh McLennan (MMC) global enterprise.
The Senior Talent and Learning Specialist (Strategic Design and Development) is responsible for designing and developing learning solutions aligned with MMCs strategic priorities.
You will collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and other team members to analyse learning needs, design instructional materials, and implement innovative learning strategies.
You will utilise your in depth understanding of instructional design principles, adult learning theory, and your ability to leverage technology to create impactful learning experiences.
This position is part of the Talent & Inclusion Centre of Expertise (CoE) and reports directly into the Head of Instructional Design.
The Talent & Inclusion CoE forms part of the People Strategy team. The People Strategy Team identifies, develops and delivers solutions, and is comprised of six centres of expertise HR Strategy, Workforce Planning, Talent & Inclusion, Executive Compensation, Broad-Based Compensation and Benefits & Mobility.

The People Strategy team delivers informed perspectives and creative solutions; anticipates and helps the organization respond to market, business and colleague needs; and brings a balance of deep technical expertise and consultative approach to identifying opportunities and developing scalable solutions that enable impact.

We will rely on you to:

Lead the design and development of enterprise-wide learning solutions, including eLearning modules, instructor-led training (virtual, hybrid and in-person); blended learning programs and other materials
Conduct thorough needs assessments to understand and identify learning objectives and ensure solutions address business needs
Conduct formative and summative evaluations to measure the effectiveness of learning solutions. Analyse feedback and data to identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for enhancements.

Collaborate with subject matter experts, stakeholders, and team members to gather input, validate content, and ensure alignment with business objectives. Build strong relationships and effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels.

Stay up to date on emerging technologies and trends in instructional design to enhance learning experiences. Utilize multimedia tools and technologies to enhance learning experiences. Develop engaging visuals, videos, simulations, and interactive elements to support learning objectives.

Review and test learning solutions to ensure clarity, accuracy and alignment with learning objectives. Revise and update content as needed.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, regularly updating stakeholders on progress and delivering to required timescales

Ensure that learning materials comply with current accessibility standards

What you need to have:

Significant experience of designing and developing engaging and interactive learning experiences using a variety of delivery methods. Experience in leading design projects.
Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality learning solutions.
Ability to thrive under pressure and deliver to strict deadlines
Expert proficiency in instructional design principles, adult learning theory and learning technologies
Expert proficiency in e-learning authoring tools, such as Articulate RISE and Articulate Storyline.
Demonstrated experience of creating high-quality materials for workshops (VILT, hybrid and in-person), including facilitator guides. Excellent visual design skills, designing engaging solutions with strong visual impact
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively
Highly effective relationship, collaboration and stakeholder management skills, specifically managing subject matter experts.
Project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects

Current understanding of relevant accessibility standards to ensure learning solutions are accessible to all colleagues

Up to date on latest trends and developments in learning design, including the use of technology in creating innovative learning solutions

What makes you stand out:

Bachelors degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning & Development, or similar qualification.

Experience working in a highly matrixed professional services firm or a similar corporate environment is highly desirable.
