Assistant Project Manager

We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Assistant Project Manager in the transport industry, located in Pompano Beach, Florida. The Assistant Project Manager will play a crucial role in developing comprehensive project scopes, supporting project coordination, preparing project documentation, facilitating stakeholder communication, and ensuring quality assurance.

• Lead the development of detailed project scopes, ensuring they align with project objectives, technical requirements, and transport industry best practices.
• Provide support to Project Managers in coordinating project activities, ensuring clear communication of work scopes and understanding of stakeholder roles and responsibilities.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical specifications, timelines, and resource allocation plans.
• Facilitate effective communication between internal teams, contractors, and external stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
• Review and revise project scopes to ensure compliance with the company's quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Assist in managing and directing third-party contractors engaged in maintenance or capital work.
• Support the coordination with other departments within the organization, including Procurement, Operations, Planning & Capital Development, and Finance.
• Assist in coordinating with external agencies, such as FDOT, state & local government agencies, and various municipalities.
• Help manage projects, project schedules, and budgets with other team members in the Operations Department. • Familiarity with Cloud Technologies is essential.
• Proficiency in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is required.
• Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is necessary.
• Knowledge of IBM systems and software is beneficial.
• Must be comfortable using About Time software for project management.
• Experience with Agile Scrum methodology is highly preferred.
• Understanding of budget processes is vital.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Previous experience in transportation or construction industry is a plus.
