Crosstown Plumbing is a successful plumbing store located in East Orange, NJ. We are looking for a strategic, innovative, and results-oriented Head of Kitchen/Bath Design who will spearhead the sales efforts within our kitchen and bath product lines, drive tactical initiatives, and manage a dedicated sales team to achieve revenue targets.
This position requires a proactive approach to business development, including market analysis, identifying emerging trends, and exploring new markets to enhance our competitive edge. Our Head of Kitchen/Bath Design is pivotal in enhancing our market presence and customer satisfaction, so our ideal candidate will possess in-depth industry knowledge, exceptional business acumen, and a proven track record in both sales and business development within the kitchen/bath industry.

Previous kitchen and bathroom design industry experience is ideal, and candidates should be familiar with the different elements that go into these designs, such as cabinets, toilets, vanities, sinks, faucets, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients to design, measure, and provide estimates on kitchen and bath projects.
  • Diligently update and maintain the sales lead tracker to ensure accurate and up-to-date information for all client interactions, enabling effective follow-ups and pipeline management.
  • Manage full-cycle ordering process for all kitchen and bath projects from inception through completion, including scheduling assembly and deliveries.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve company sales targets and growth objectives.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including market expansion and partnerships.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities for Crosstowns growth.
  • Lead, manage, and mentor the kitchen and bath sales team.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and industry partners.
  • Analyze sales data and provide lead generation reports to senior management.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent service and post-sale support.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in a sales leadership role, ideally within the kitchen and bath industry.
  • Minimum 2+ years of kitchen and bathroom design experience; design certification a plus!
  • Strong background in maintaining sales lead trackers and customer follow-up with robust organizational and time management skills.
  • Must be proficient in 2020 design software.
  • Deep understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Good project management skills, including strong decision-making, problem-solving and strategic planning abilities.
  • Effective communication skills, including writing, speaking and active listening.
  • Ability to analyze data and develop actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Huge plus if you can bring some of your own clients, but not required.
  • Valid drivers license and willingness to travel as needed.
