Shop Assistant (Part-Time)

How you will contribute:You will work independently on delegated tasks under the direction of the Shop Manager. You will make deliveries to job sites throughout the Des Moines regional area while performing basic preventative maintenance on tools, equipment, and machinery; receiving and shipping of materials, maintain orderly storage of materials and inventory levels; perform fabrication on pipe for the field; communicate regularly with field and office employees on projects.
You will be responsible for the coordination of workflow, delegation, and task completions during the Shop Manager's absence.
What you need to qualify:Qualified candidates should have prior experience working in a shop environment, be comfortable driving a forklift, and be mechanically inclined. You must have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and be able to successfully pass a Department of Transportation Driver Medical exam.
Candidate will be regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle and manipulate objects; reach with hands and arms and regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Computer knowledge and great multi-tasking skills.
