Job Description

The Estimator is responsible for:

Analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates
Collaborating with various parties (architects, subs, etc.) to gather necessary information
Preparing and submitting comprehensive, competitive bids and proposals
Evaluating and comparing subcontractor and supplier quotes
Conducting value engineering to optimize project costs without compromising quality
Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and cost factors
Assisting in project cost control and budget management

The Successful Applicant

The right candidate has the following qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of commercial estimating experience
Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry (preferably design/build)
Proficiency in estimating software and tools: On Screen Take-off, Bluebeam, Procore, MS
Ability to breakdown construction operations into a logical sequence of activities creating construction schedules
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
