Sr Institutional Electronic Trading Developer
What You'll Be Doing:
Under the direction of Senior Developers and Product Manager within the Portfolio and Electronic Trading Team, the Senior Institutional Electronic Trading Developer will focus on the development of Equity Trading algorithms. The Portfolio and Electronic trading team services Institutional clients as well as internal Stifel traders acting on behalf of clients in the execution of equities through proprietary algorithms and smart order routers.The developer will work closely with the product development team (quantitative research, traders, developers, sales) in all phases of the development process including design, integration and maintenance.
What We're Looking For:
- Help lead the development process in various phases of Algo product development, including research, design, testing, implementation, integration, and support. Facilitate in the future growth of the product through cooperation with traders, sales-traders outside of the Electronic Trading desk.
What You'll Bring:
- Knowledge of prevailing trends in equity algorithms, market structure, US equity trading, FIX protocol, and routing/order-placement strategies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Entrepreneurial attitude/desire to lead
- Ability to adapt to and define platform strategy
- Self-reliant and able to manage priorities and thorough understanding of the software lifecycle and relevant software methodologies used in software development.
Education & Experience:
- Minimum Required: BS or BA in Computer Science
- Minimum Required: 3-5 of similar experience desired.
Systems & Technology:
- Programming skillset � Java, C, C++, SQL, and Python
- Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
