Technical Writer/Technical Editor

Company Overview:

Veraxx Engineering is looking for a technical writer to join our team! The candidate that is chosen will be supporting documentation deliverables across multiple DoD programs. The ideal candidate would have proven experience with writing and editing under tight deadlines and would be comfortable working in a highly technical field alongside managers and subject matter experts.

Responsibilities:

• Outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
• Create and maintain document templates that uphold organizational/customer standards, and allow for easy data migration
• Gather information to organize/write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
• Provide quality assurance for document formatting and editing to ensure a consistent look and cohesive tone across all deliverables
• Develop and maintain documentation repositories for centralized storage
• Assist in preparation of presentation materials; take meeting minutes at milestone events and distribute to the Government team
• Submit final documentation through specified Government portals; be able to brief the customer on status of submitted documentation during periodic meetings

Required Experience/Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant technical field
• 2+ years industry experience as a technical writer
• Must have/be able to obtain a security clearance at the SECRET level
• Expertise in Microsoft Office suite

Preferred Experience/Qualifications:

• Experience preparing Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs) for DoD programs and tracking associated milestone deadlines
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, and be able to proactively prioritize deadlines
