Our client, a leading private equity firm based in Menlo Park, is at the forefront of high-growth technology and related industries. They offer specialized capital and expertise to propel companies onto the global stage and are an SEC-registered investment adviser managing billions of dollars.

They are seeking a Controller to join their Finance team. Reporting to both the Director and CFO, you’ll play a crucial role in daily operations, ensuring top-tier accounting and reporting procedures. This HYBRID position offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the capital call and distribution process for private equity funds.
• Manage the performance of accounting and operations systems.
• Collaborate with deal teams and external advisors on fund administration.
• Lead the financial close process for investment vehicles.
• Assist with credit line processes, resolve technical accounting issues, and address investor inquiries.
• Support external fund audits and assist with tax and compliance tasks.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related; CPA is a plus.
• 10+ years of accounting experience, with expertise in private equity/venture capital.
• Strong understanding of US GAAP and excellent problem-solving skills.
• Proven leadership abilities and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with database management and adaptability to new technologies.
• Familiarity with fund accounting software like QuickBooks, FloQast, or Allvue preferred.
