We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Atlanta, GA. This role involves working on the productionization of our current autonomous robot, as well as developing innovative hardware features for moving and storing cargo on and above the robot.You will play a pivotal role in the evolution of our products and the scaling of our production capabilities.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the design and development of mechanical systems for our autonomous mobile robots
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical designs with electrical and software systems
- Innovate and implement additional hardware features for enhanced cargo handling and storage
- Drive the transition of prototypes into scalable, production-ready models
- Work to improve electro-mechanical reliability of the system
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in mechanical design and development, ideally in mobile robotics
- Demonstrated experience in an agile, fast-paced work environment
- Proficiency in CAD software, mechanical simulation, and analysis tools
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and mechanical systems
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to innovate
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
