Job Description and Responsibilities:

Willow Valley Communities is hiring a Production Assistant that prepares bulk food items according to standardized recipes as required by production procedures. This Production Assistant will be baking and decorating cakes.

Wage:

• From $18.00/hr + based on experience

Responsibilities:

• Follows all the proper temperatures, pumping speed and agitator speed while using the 100 gallon kettle.
• Cleans kettle between each batch by spraying the water or other methods to ensure proper cleaning.
• Follow standardized recipes during preparation of food items.
• Preps desserts, bakes items, salads, vegetables and measures ingredients for recipes.
• Assists with finishing baked goods and cake decorating.
• Assists with vacuum sealing and sous vide cooking.
• Assists with last minutes changes on production sheets.
• Organizes the daily routine to allow adequate time to complete all prep and daily cleaning jobs.
• Assists in rotating casing racks.
• Assists in completing prep for next day.
• Dates, rotates and properly stores leftover foods.
• Responsible for proper sanitation and cleanup of kitchen and related areas.
• Cleans and sanitizes equipment.
• Records temperatures of walk-in refrigerators and freezers.
• Follows Willow Valley’s HACCP plan and Food Safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and or training; or a combination of both.
• Proven baking and/or cake decorating experience.
• Maintains a professional, neat and clean appearance and exhibits a positive attitude, engaging personality, enthusiasm and energy.

Hours:

• 40 hrs/week

• 5:00am-1:30pm
