Construction Superintendent - Large Projects - Milwaukee

My client is a family-owned, family-feel general contractor that has had a presence in the Wisconsin construction market for over 80years. While they compete with the largest contractors in the space, they pride themselves on maintaining a culture where everyone is a part of the family.

• Project Types: Healthcare, Education, Multifamily, Corporate Office, Light Industrial
• Project Size: Range from $10-50m on average
• Project Location: For this position, all work is local to greater Milwaukee (1hr radius)
• Revenue: Our client is slotted to do $650m this calendar year

• Project Oversight: Manage and supervise daily operations on the construction site, ensuring adherence to project plans, timelines, and budgets.
• Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate the activities of construction crews, subcontractors, and other site personnel, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Quality Control: Monitor and enforce quality standards to ensure that construction work meets or exceeds industry regulations and client specifications.
• Safety Management: Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment for all site personnel.
• Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, addressing any delays or issues promptly to keep the project on track.
• Resource Coordination: Oversee the procurement and management of materials, equipment, and labor to ensure efficient use and timely availability.
• Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact between clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
• Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that arise during construction, including logistical challenges, technical problems, and conflicts among team members.

• 10+ years of experience in a superintendent role
• Ground up projects in excess of $20+ million
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills
• Experience with scheduling and working closely with subcontractors and vendors
• Knowledge of all relevant safety practices and guidelines
• Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks, and meet project deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
